I suspect my front right bearing to be shot as the car is now really noisy when I driver over 30mph and has a clik-click sound at low speed.

Being a c4 this should be easy to check, just put it on a lift and run it with the wheels in the air, should be easy to tell if it is a wheel bearing.

Hi, I suspect my front right bearing to be shot as the car is now really noisy when I driver over 30mph and has a clik-click sound at low speed. The handling in the sharp curves at medium to high speed is not has smooth anymore and quite scary at times. I am pretty sure it is the bearing from reading the posts on this forum. However, my question is how comfortable would you be to have it replaced by a non porsche mechanics (it is a mercedes approved one) given that is it a 4 wheel drive (C4S). Is it that complicated?? a) there is no P-dealership within 100miles from where i am, and I am not sure the car could drive that long without killing the direction or the rotor and b) I bought the part for $85 and will pay for 2h of labor, while porsche would probably charge me $500 alltogether Let me know if I am being cheap here, or if it is a simple mechanical fix, thanks

2 hours of labor is a steal, I would not do it for that amount. Anybody can change a wheel bearing the awd are easier then a c2 by a little bit. You should have special tools to do the job, but a competent benz tech framilair with german cars should have no problems. I would question your diagnosis, wheel bearings rarely click and to affect handleing feel would have to be so bad you would be deaf from driving on the highway. Being a c4 this should be easy to check, just put it on a lift and run it with the wheels in the air, should be easy to tell if it is a wheel bearing.
