Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wired up a remote spoiler switch a while back, works fine, except there's the switch is not lit at night. Are these lugs supposed to have power to them for the light? If so, how/where do I wire these up to? TIA!

POST 2Original post

The light wire is negative polarity , and you can pull it from a near by switch. the connection of the light wire is depended on the switch you have. do you have the one with the spoiler icon? if you can get a clear picture of the bottom of your switch, I might be able to help. in other switches I installed, the top pin is the light input. you might need to connect the bottom on to positive.

If so, I can tell you that the the connector above the blue wire is positive for illumination and the connector below the yellow wire is negative. I use these things piggybacked onto an adjacent switch's illumination connectors.

Here's a diagram that I have for doing a garage door opener that identifies each lug;
