Not to mention its generally designed to be used with straight water, as its not as effective with a glycol based coolant.

If you don't have the history on the car this might be an appropriate time to flush the cooling system and replace with a known antifreeze/distilled water mixture.

Almost every large office building uses a "wetting agent" in the thousands of gallons Glycol that they run to transfer heat or cooling though the building.

Suggestion
In general it depends on what's in there now - you could use just distilled water for a little top up if you are not absolutely sure otherwise you could turn your coolant into a jelly.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Pentofrost SF is a better choice. G12+ rated and usually can find it in run of the mill auto parts stores.
Now the real question; why are you losing coolant?
In general it depends on what's in there now - you could use just distilled water for a little top up if you are not absolutely sure otherwise you could turn your coolant into a jelly. It's probably G12/12+(+) (G30/G40) so it's probably safe to use but if you don't know then it's a gamble. If you do know then it's a matter of selecting same type of coolant.
ive had the car 2 years but never had to touch the coolant. So not sure what's in it. Seems like g13 or some distilled water is my best bet.
Thanks all

Yes they do. There are several threads on it. Just google.

Also People use Seafoam on these cars for the fuel system from time to time. I Seafoamed my car a couple of months ago and noticed it ran quieter and accelerated a bit smoother.
Theres a recent video with Jake Raby talking about it
If its the same video I saw, I came away with a different conclusion. Jake endorsed Seafoam but then went on to say that injectors need lubrication, not more detergents. I believe he also said that he only uses it right before tearing down an to make his job easier. This is what he recommended for regular injector maintenance.

A few people using it hardly means its common. Not to mention its generally designed to be used with straight water, as its not as effective with a glycol based coolant.
Really there is no point at all to use it on a normal street car.
Yea i was using water wetter when i had issues keeping the coolant hoses on while doing hdpe. It saved me a few hundred dollars in track clean up, but i dont think i would run it in a street car. There r additives and anticorrosion stuff in car antifreeze to protect the system.
Almost every large office building uses a "wetting agent" in the thousands of gallons Glycol that they run to transfer heat or cooling though the building. The wetting agent is typically part of a additive package that is keeps the glycol mix effective by adding small amounts of a chemical package to keep PH balanced and anti corrosion and lubricant properties functional.
Many people think a wetting agent like water wetter will show up on their temperature gauge, it seldom does,, its main benefit is to reduce bubbles in the coolant, which helps reduce hot spots inside the system on the walls of the coolant passages, which can reduce occurrences of cracks in the metal.
The only way to see the effect is a micro bore camera inside the coolant packages. On a hot system, if you have the camera in place you can see the boiling points on the passage walls by the bubbles being generated and sticking at the hot location, when the wetting agent is added the bubbles form but disappear almost instantly.
Its not magic... but the tech is > 100 years old well proven..
The system is a car has less loss, and way less run time than a building system so the net effect is small, but I've has more than one car that had excessive cooling system corrosion issues and a bottle of the additive is cheap and pretty risk free insurance if its a complex system with a lot of dis-similar metals in it.
