Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Can anyone help with instructions on how to adjust the top on the 99 cab.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust top' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust top' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can anyone help with instructions on how to adjust the top on the 99 cab. IN the down position I now have almost 3/4 inch of gap between the rear seat and the front of the seal of the top. Also, the side wings that provide wind/splash protection along the side of the top in the down position are stuck and don't come up flush. Maybe this is why the top doesn't slilde forward against the rear of the seat.
I am reasonably handy and could adjust cams, micros if someone has a set of instructions and specs.
Cheers
Phil
Any advice from anyone with same problem would be appreciated. Can the top be adjusted easily by marginally handy guy or is this better left to the pro$ at the Por$che $ervice center?
I have the same problem. I am thinking it has someething to do with having the hard top on and it somehow has caused the misalignment when the top is down. I am taking to the dealer soon to have them fix it. It shouldn't take them a lot. It would be nice if someone has advice on how to fix it ourselves though.
Great! since you mention it, just checked and mine is out about 3/4 inch from the top to the piece behind the seat too. I guess that is not normal? Anyway, next visit to dealer I'll ask and watch them fix it.
I checked my top this morning....I also have a gap of about 3/4 inches. I believe it is normal. The rubber seal you are looking at on the cab top is made to mate with the windshield frame. Contact with the fabric covered piece at the rear of the car would certainly abraid it. If the side wings don't come up completely (original poster) that is a different issue that needs to be addressed. Something must be in the way as they seem to me to be spring loaded, though I am not sure.....I didn't look closely at mine this AM, (but they close just fine).
