I am looking at 03 C2 Cab that had its top replaced at a Cadillac dealership. Invoice shows Porsche P/N at almost $3500 and labor of $1400. What would a Cad dealer know about Porsche top? From their website they don't usually service Foreign cars. Does this sound right to you? I am asking seller about it. Just want your feedback. thanks RBC

Does it go up and down? Does is seal properly? If so then why worry? Its just a car, nut and bolts created by humans, not magic gnomes.

Maybe the Caddy dealer owned it in their used car inventory and repaired it before sale? Have you tried actually asking about it?

I will second that, or maybe the shop is used to working with convertible and/or soft tops. Some members have done this themselves, and unless something is wrong with the top it doesn't sound like rocket science to replace the canvas - just takes a while to do.

As usual you guys are correct. The Cad dealer sent it out to specialty shop. Has new tires, new brakes,new top, other new stuff because it had been vandalized while in sellers garage. 57K miles, blue with tan , C2 Tip for $25 K. 600 miles away.
