Does anyone know if a rear decklid from a 2005 997 (NB) fits a 996 C2 ?

The reason for asking is that the "spoiler-mechanism" in my original deck lid makes a horrible noise and also the rubber bellow is ripped. I can get a complete (as new) deck lid of a 997 from a friend that replaced his with an aftermarket one. Perhaps I can swap the spoiler mechanism?
