I've used USPS Guarantied Over-night with good success many times, only once did it take 2 days and was no problem getting the money back from the Guarantee.

UPS has been perfect for me, FedEx had been somewhat bad, and USPS and Amazon have been terrible (mostly because they seem to mostly use usps here)

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Now why is it I mailed a quarterly to the IRS two weeks ago and its still not cashed.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My motor is out and im waiting on parts. Fedex has had stuff on the truck out for drlivery for 2 days now and the driver cant seem to stop at my house. Fedex said its experiencing delays do to covid... asked the customer service lady, if its out for delivery how is covid delaying the driver from stopping at my house? And usps cant even tell me where a package is after 5 days. I even upgraded the shipping on both orders do i could get them faster. some how amazon delivered on time with free shipping vendors need to stop using usps sorry rant off.

POST 2Original post

After about 1 year the excuse "experiencing delays due to covid" has worn thin.

POST 3Original post

FedEx did the same thing to me. The tracking indicated out for delivery for 3 days. Also I had a part sent USPS from Ohio to Pennsylvania on December 12th and it didnt arrive until the 2nd week of January. The tracking had in transit to the next location for 3 weeks! But the last few parts have arrived on time

POST 4Original post

A couple of years ago I ordered something from CA and it went from CA to Florida, then to Colorado and finally to Chicago. It took about 10 days. When I asked why they said this was the most cost effective shipping method???

POST 5Original post

UPS and Amazon have been rock solid of late for parts for work. Havent had much from fedex lately. Post office deliveries have been ok for the few orders Ive had. Now why is it I mailed a quarterly to the IRS two weeks ago and its still not cashed.

POST 6Original post

Priority Mail package sent from NY on 1/21, last seen in New Jersey on 1/23. Luckily it isn’t automotive related. Just some Raspberry Pi toys for both my son and I from Adafruit.

POST 7Original post

Amazon Prime has been dead on with deliveries. No orders with Fedex shipping. USPS has lost and undelivered two packages in the last month. No explanation and no follow-up. Even went to the main PO, they cannot find the packages. Had to go back to the shipper, cancel the orders and try to get a refund. Still working on that.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well i did get the fedex package last night. It was delivered after 8pm. Im assuming my heated call to customer service resulted in the driver making a return trip at the end of his day. I also got one of my usps 2 day piority packages....12 days late. Now i have to send it back for a refund because i was able to source more expensive parts locally. At least that project got finished. Im on day 7 for my priority package from LNE in Illinios to DE. I may have to reorder on monday and get it shiped ups so i can get the motor back in.

POST 9Original post

This is making me feel little better. I shipped a seat belt receptacle from TN to NY I sold on ebay on the 11th. USPS does not even show a departure scan. I dropped it in the box inside the post office. Been thinking I am going to have to refund the money to the ebay buyer. Maybe there is hope it will show up. Outside of the cost to ship fedex and ups, I have not really had issues with them. I think individual and low volume company shippers subsidize the amazon free shipping. We pay more so our amazon shipments can be free and fast is the way I have rationalized it.

POST 10Original post

Haven't had many problems with Fedex or UPS but USPS has been pretty bad. I think they are still overwhelmed from people choosing to order online. I remember our mail carrier saying it was worse that Christmas.

POST 11Original post

My elderly neighbor on next street over mailed a Christmas card to us. It arrived on Jan 12 after going to Pittsburgh PA! How the hell can a local letter with the correct address and ZIP code go from my town to Pittsburgh and back?

POST 12Original post

Just got a well pressure tank from NC to MN. The box is 48x18x18. Got here in 2 days via UPS. Birthday card from daughter, 3 days, she lives about 20 miles away.

Remember how after DeJoy was put in as head of USPS (while owning substantial stocks in usps competitors) suddenly all these well functioning sorting machines were unhooked and gotten rid of? And timetables for deliveries got pushed to the point of absurdity? It was a directed sabotage attempt. And were still feeling the fallout from that.

When you call to yell at them make sure you tell them it's parts for your porsche. always helps when they know how important you are.

POST 16Original post

My other hobby is guns and its so bad. I waited 4 weeks for a barrel to arrive that was in stock with the vendor.

POST 18Original post

I was impressed that my package was in Germany the day before yesterday and on my front porch this morning. This included a pitstop in England and Customs in LA. Go DHL!

POST 19Original post

Let's talk about UPS. Over a year ago the wife's VERY expensive must be kept refrigerator cold RA medicine was shipped UPS from KC about 200 miles distance. Their computer showed it was in our town Wednesday night for a Thursday delivery, perfect. It snowed Wednesday night and UPS showed "on truck for delivery" for Thursday...never showed. Computer showed "weather delay". It snowed about three inches and USPS delivered the mail in their beat up little van with crappy tires. Friday UPS showed "on truck out for delivery"...nope. Computer showed "weather delay", again and yes USPS delivered the mail on Friday. Saturday same thing. Sunday no UPS delivery available. Monday same...same. I had several phone calls with UPS and the supplier about the issue. Last call with UPS the customer no service person said "the local people will know it is a refrigerated item and will put it in a cooling device over the weekend". I "gracefully" explained how a styrofoam container works which was met with silence. When the package arrived Tuesday I popped it open, inserted a digital thermometer probe and sealed it back up. 48 degrees. Called supplier and their pharmacist. She said it is no good. Supplier sent another shipment and it arrived overnight FEDEX! Every delivery since has been by FEDEX without problem. I guess the supplier didn't want to lose another multiple thousand dollar product. Any of the delivery services can have problems.

I don't work for FedEx but I do appreciate what you technicians do for those of us who get to sit at the pointy end.

When I was flying for the airlines, I always appreciated what the mechanics did to get us up and running and on our way.

POST 25Original post

We own a Ecommerce Boot business. We ship thousands of packages a year. Before Amazon and USPS made their special deal, USPS was reliable and cost efficient. We purchased more USPS Priority postage than any other business in our zip code for 6 years in a row. Our Postmaster enlightened me last year on the Amazon rules they have to adhere to, it is astonishing. Not just the special treatment of Sunday delivery. But, now it is the most expensive and least reliable. Based on shipping origin in the Northeast. We still use USPS for certain small items, but mostly UPS. We just received our UPS efficiency report for 2020, 98.5% on time shipping, zero lost claims. Just estimating, based on the past holiday season, USPS, efficiency was about 85% with at least a dozen lost claims.

I'm in the job category of aircraft maintenance technician but work radio control heads and other electronics in a shop. The real mechanics are on top of the fuselage and in cramped little compartments in the heat and cold day after day. I have so much respect for them same as real Porsche mechanics who make very difficult repairs in a short period of time.
