Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The response I got was that I needed to check the documentation, and that they not responsive to subsequent owners.
Leading evidence: 'Check documentation' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check documentation' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Here is another dimension to the misfire problem, I changed 2 of the coils on the left bank a few weeks ago, 1 and 3 if I recall correctly.

I replaced the batter a couple weeks ago with a non-AGM battery, I wonder if that could be some of it, but that should affect both banks.

Do people use any sort of dielectric grease or other connection prep on the wiring, coils?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

On my 2002, with a flat6 rebuilt engine, the literature with the car says to use the early 996 spark plugs, with no part number listed. They seem to be a bit harder to find. According to the Bentley manual, the 3.6 uses Bosch FGR 5KQEO 3.4 uses Beru 14FGR-6KQU. Any thoughts on the difference in the two plugs, or rational for the older plug?
Thanks in advance
...as in Flat 6 Innovations?
Then like Optionman1 said, open a ticket there and ask Jake.
Jake's recommendation for his engines > Porsche documentation from 19 years ago.(or 9 hours ago)
Great, thank you. Makes sense. Will get these Bosch FGR-6-KQE, unless there is another opinion.
The response I got was that I needed to check the documentation, and that they not responsive to subsequent owners.
thanks again
Here is another dimension to the misfire problem, I changed 2 of the coils on the left bank a few weeks ago, 1 and 3 if I recall correctly. Pulling the muffler off helped tremendously and took 10 minutes. I am getting a misfire on cylinder 1 and sometimes cylinder 2, only after restarting after driving it for a while. Once i clear the codes it drives fine, but if I stop somewhere and restart it, it throws a code. It definitely runs poorly when there is a code, when there are no codes, it seems to run fine. At first I thought it may be water, but the last couple drives have been dry. I replaced the batter a couple weeks ago with a non-AGM battery, I wonder if that could be some of it, but that should affect both banks. I have more coil packs and spark plugs coming, but the more I think about it, the more I am convinced it is is not the issue. I am planning on inspecting the wiring as far as I can see, maybe there is a short somewhere?
Do people use any sort of dielectric grease or other connection prep on the wiring, coils? Any other thoughts on this issue?
Side note, the side blinkers do not work, both sides. Fuse is fine, the front and rear blinkers work. It appears the side wiring is not getting juice. Any other ideas of where to look? I did not see a separate relay or other component that could fail and the others still work. Or, am I testing these incorrectly? Maybe its the crocs?
The lights on the fenders are marker lights, not blinkers for USA cars. They should light up with the other marker & tail lights. They don't light up with the turn signals.
