I have to get mine running so I can answer, but I usually have Pandora shuffle on in the work van.

I just enjoyed listening to the sound of the engine, and like my old 356's, 914 that I no longer own, I still just like to hear the sound that the 996 makes going up and down all the local hills and backcountry roads sans soccer moms, commuters and all of those fashionable oversize locomotives that are sold to people that test the limits of adhesion.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hit a mental block remembering songs to add to my _Driving playlist on Apple Music, then I remembered 'Station to Station' (David Bowie):

Additional suggestions would be appreciated!
While not that old, I met my wife on the second time around for disco in the nineties. It's all good and I have disco in the Pandora playlist. Right there next to Metallica and Iron Maiden.
Seriously though when I play the radio it's on FM Classic Rock. Tunes that get turned up are AC/DC, Hendrix, Clapton, Mountain, Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac(still have a crush on Stevie), Journey, Rolling Stones and similar. Like I said above I'm old like Sparks admitted.
You know I see people complaining about the Bose system. In my opinion they're just not turning it up loud enough!
Still have original radio but never use it. Listen to the flat six sounds thru FVD exhaust. Windows are always down except for the cold months in Chicago. Just love to hear the car and every noise it makes after nearly 18 years of ownership.
I prefer Ramsey. Many years ago I lived on the west coast and spent several days at a party in San Diego and needed a ride back to San Fransico as my buddy was doing the mating ritual and I needed a ride back. As luck would have it, I was offered a ride by a fine lady with a 911. We left early to avoid the traffic around LA, then decided to take the rather scenic route back to Frisco. Somewhere around Goviota or before the tunnel we stopped and removed the Targa roof, inserted the Ramsey tape, and cruised enjoying the morning. It was just one of those moments in time where all the stars are in alignment, the morning sun and wind blowing in the hair, and this song........and a west coast chick and a good memory.
Currently, I have never turned on the radio or used the CD changer in my 996. Just like the VW super beetle, which was purchased without a radio and drove for over a hundred grand.
I havent turned on my radio in my 996 in the last year.
Radios are for distractions during boring rides.
I enjoy listening to the flat 6 engine with Fabspeed exhaust.
When Im in my other vehicles, FORD Mustang and Honda Odyssey( boring rides) Im listening to the local Classic Rock station or KSBJ.
Keep the car running by Arcade Fire. Also meaningful to me because I bought my 996 sight unseen without a pdi and feel it could explode at any moment.

Wow you must listen to as much Floyd as me to pull out that song. Still remember where i was when i heard it for the 1st time, entire album for that matter.
I saw the film of that entire concert at a theater in Ithaca NY as part of a double feature with Cheech and Chong "Up in Smoke" in 1978/79. Echoes still one of my favorites. I still regret to this day not driving to Long Island in 1980 when they played "The Wall" live after it premiered. Only did a handful of shows in NY and LA, nowhere else. My little girls grew up in the back seat of our cars saying "Daddy, play the Money song!" They are now 35 and 33, lol.
Totally agree that Floyd album is underrated!
On a different note (pun intended) I forgot to include The Weight by The Band! Check out this version.
