Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

(I need to replace my top mounts soon, so I'm eager to figure out if the GT3 mounts could be a good upgrade for me!)

Suggestion · Original poster
Anyone try Tarett, ground control, are there differences among the factory ones, for example could I use GT3 ones?

You'll need the parts in the diagram depending on what suspension you plan on using with it.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I concur, for a street car stock mounts should work best. Does anyone know where to get them cheaper? I am looking for turbo mounts and they are $200 a piece.
Same question (GT3 top mounts). And if so, does any other hardware need to be replaced? Also, if they work, are there any disadvantages? Noise? Vibration? Other?
Thanks!
You'll need the parts in the diagram depending on what suspension you plan on using with it. They sell custom machined coil spring isolator for Bilstein CO setups.
I have these and IMO, there is absolutely no need for these unless you plan on getting them to increase camber. Even the stock configuration isn't that much. You'll want to drill the alternate holes and transfer the studs to get an extra ~1 deg of camber. If primarily a street car, I would just stick to stock non GT3 top hats.
The ones for a C4/C4S are different than for a C2. I got mine from Sunset for about $157@. You see them on eBay all the time but for about 2-3 times what Sunset sells them for.
Thanks for pointing that out Dharn55. My response was to RS10's post but also realized he might also not have a C2 model. I often get confused on which members have which.
Thanks Dharn55 and alpine003!
I do have a C2 model.
Increasing camber would be the reason, even if I'm not sure how high a priority increasing camber will be for me. But I will do some track days, and I figured that assuming there isn't a big difference in costs or other disadvantages, I might as well get the GT3 mounts. I'd also imagine they last longer.
But are there other disadvantages? (Noise, vibration, worse ride quality, etc.?
