Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I am still new with the car and checking its idiosyncrasies. Also I had the AOS changed and a bit of coolant was added. It used to be a bit yellow and now I see more red coolant. Is that a big deal?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am aware that heat from the engine bay takes a long time to dissipate but I noticed after parking in my garage that the front wheels and tires were very hot as well .The bottom of the tires were much cooler.Would the front radiators cause that heat? I am still new with the car and checking its idiosyncrasies. Also I had the AOS changed and a bit of coolant was added. It used to be a bit yellow and now I see more red coolant. Is that a big deal? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Normal. It's the residual heat from the radiator. Older coolant was yellowish and newer one is pinkish so that'snormal as well.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the reply .One less thing to think about

POST 4Original post

Your front brakes do a lot of hard work too. That heat has to dissipate too when parked. Sent from my iPhone using Rennlist

POST 5Original post

Unless you drive like a maniac, the front brakes will not generate enough heat to warm up the threads of the tires. It's the radiators, just as said above, perfectly normal.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. When I had the Boxster I had never noticed that much heat that the wheels were that hot. The temperature seems quite normal on the gauge 185 or so. So I guess that the radiator is the culprit and dissipates its heat after shut down in 90 degree weather.
