Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If it's for power then it's best to talk to a shop that does tuning and see what they say, and any mod really does need to be tested on a track against known times or on a dyno.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Dropped the cans today for the muffler delete. Going to run it for the weekend and see how it is before a full tune by Indy Shop.
All I have to say is for now I HAVE A RACE CAR! LMOA neighbors are gonna hate me!
I have experience running straight pipes on one of my BMWs. One of them. For about a week.
It's a fun thing to experience for a couple days, or maybe a couple high RPM pulls, but after the cops stop you for the 5th time it becomes not so fun. Droning at any speed above 14 MPH also gets real old...
I had mine off for a few days while my mufflers were getting the fister mod... I drove it once like that. I sort of liked it also but for me it was way too loud. Fister mod is where it's at IMO.
BTW I'm on the Gulf Coast and fish inshore also. Which Mako do you have? I have an Action Craft 1720... went out for tarpon tonight but wasn't paying attention and ended up stuck on a sandbar for about an hour while the tide came in. Woops.
As a life long admirer of Porsche, I open the door for most anyone to get in and have a taste. Just last night at the local gas station a young man traveling with his family climbs out of a mini van and said look it a Porsche dad. He was maybe 10 or so, I opened the door and let him sit behind the wheel while filling up.
He was grinning from ear to ear.
I'm on the east coast (Palm Coast), have a 1901 bay boat, chase the reds, trout, snook and flounder generally. Have been over to Anaclote Key a few times. Really want to get a trip down to Ft. Myers soon, your coast has some giant snook! Haven't caught a giant tarpon yet either.
No mufflers is a beautiful thing. Your neighbors (about a acre off the street and a few acres between each house, but that shouldn't matter) won't care...at least mine don't
Oh I'm digging it, had a nice drive about town yesterday. Second and third at about 3600rpm has a really deep growl. Little high on pitch once the RPMs hit 56-5900. Wondering if a larger OD and different tip would help?
Do what you wish, but don't be surprised if you receive some unwanted attention, be it from people who don't appreciate it, think it's obnoxious and key your car, to LEO issuing noise tickets.
I only take mine off when going to the Track. I can have them swapped to the Bypass pipes in 15 mins or so.
I had a local shop do a Fister Mod on my OE cans for me.
This will work until I sell a kidney for some Tubi's

This is where you need to decide if what you're doing is for vanity or for performance.
If it's for vainty then go for it and see what kind of sounds you can get. Can even make a car whistle if you want -

If it's for power then it's best to talk to a shop that does tuning and see what they say, and any mod really does need to be tested on a track against known times or on a dyno. Sometimes something that sounds "better" isn't more powerful.
Just playing with the sound at this point. Power and performance come once the pump(engine) can intake, use and expel gases at a greater rate than stock. Eventually this will be the direction.
But as there isn't any inspections here on vehicles and I am young at heart, just playing with it.
It's a car, it's meant to be driven, tinkered with, driven and enjoyed.
The whistle thing, LOL.....
