Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I occasionally get a fast right turn signal, which is corrected if I push on the headlight assembly. Problem recurs after some period of driving. Is there a preferred fix? Dielectric grease? Clean the contacts? Something else? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Contact cleaner on the plug, buddies car had the issue and even after fixing cracked wiring in the housing. Some contact cleaner on both plugs fixed it.

POST 3Original post

Pull the head light and reset it making sure the plug locks in. Its most likely the issue but the wiring is also an issue on some. The insulation breaks down.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dielectric grease won't help? Just the cleaner?

POST 6Original post

yeah, i have that too. That's the plug/tray that the headlight slides into. It's a crappy design. I've thought multiple times to make it a pigtail but so far, pushing in the headlight works. The car vibrates and the locking mechanism for the headlight isn't positively locking/engaging for the headlight to stay in the same place.
