Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I would like to get a set of OEM 18" track wheels and tires for my 02 996 C2. I am planning on getting a 997S next year and am hoping to be able to keep using the wheels with the new car. Will 8"x18" et52 and 10"x18" ET65 fit a 997S? TIA for any help.

POST 3Original post

May be a better question for the 997 board. Fitment may very well be different for both models.

POST 4Original post

From what I have heard, the 996 and 997 wheels are NOT interchangeable.

POST 5Original post

For a 997S, you would probably need a 2" spacer in the rear! The regular 997 is a widebody like the 996 Turbo, and the 997S is even wider... The 65 offset is already a little tucked in on the 996...

POST 8Original post

The offset for 997 18" wheels are: Front: 57 mm Rears: 58 mm 996 18" wheels are generally: Front: 50 or 52 mm Rears: 63 or 65 mm

POST 11Original post

Wheels or everything? The wheel specs are in the owners manual - that is where I got them from.

POST 12Original post

Curious about the offset on the rears of a 997S since it's wider. I don't have a 997, so I don't have that owners manual.
