Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Digging through boxes of parts - ran across this. I think I bought it several years ago when I had my 993. Honestly don't remember. Is it worth trying to get working in the 996 as a GPS or is it obsolete? I have a US CD and the antenna. Can the Renault name be removed?

POST 2Original post

I had one years ago, better off with a smrtphone these days.

POST 3Original post

This would be great for someone that wants to preserve the period correct OEM look but usually you find these in collector cars like a 993. I'm not sure if it makes too much sense in a 996 though.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys - that's kind of what I thought.

POST 5Original post

I had a Becker Traffic Pro similar to yours. Around 2004? I think I paid something like $1,400 for it. Still newer and cheaper than my hardwired Panasonic carphone.
