Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have spent hours looking for a definitive answer, but answers vary based on suspension heights, offsets and many opinions. I purchased a set of GT3 wheels where the rear wheel size is 18x10 with a 54mm offset. OEM offset for my car I've read is between 63-65mm and others have had success using 295 width tires. I have a 1999 MKI NB 996 with OEM suspension and am looking for the right size tire for the 54mm offset. Hoping for a 295 width tire will fit and clear but with the additional outward offset dimension am not sure if the 295 tire will clear the unrolled fender. Thank you for your experienced recommendations. Cheers!
