Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used boat rollers cut down and filled with Epoxy.
Leading evidence: 'Fill with epoxy' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean access' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I used the "normal" sized blocks and it worked just fine.
Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

You should have clean access to all 4 tires this way.

It was just enough to allow the lift arms to set correctly and lift before they hit the tires..

Suggestion
From my side, if I'm pulling the trigger in this, I want to use QJ in my full size 4x4 Tundra too, which weights almost 6 Ton, so a 5000 is little bit short.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I purchased a Quick Jack 7000 EXT to use for all my vehicles. My truck, wife's SUV, and of course the 996. Did a bit of research and
this guy
managed to make it work so I thought I was good to go.
I was not. I'm unsure exactly why or how, but I was riding the struggle bus. So, if you're looking for a Quick Jack, get a 5,000 for your P-car. 7000 really doesn't fit.
The problem: lift will contact the tires as you try to lift.

But if you've got one and you want to make it fit like I did, you can. I cut some 2 x 6's to be large enough to fit the contact patch of the tires. Then you can either pull onto or floor jack yourself onto the 2x 6's at all 4 wheels and then you're good to use the lift. This does two things:
1. It allows you to slide the lift further back under the rear tire. Leave a ~2" gap or so between the 2x6 and the back of the lift.
2. The lift's effective length gets smaller as it goes up so you have more room for clearance.
I used the "normal" sized blocks and it worked just fine. You need to leave only a small gap between the back tire and the back of the lift. Too large and you'll bump the front tire. You should have clean access to all 4 tires this way. Pictures below are the lift on the first lock point. I didn't go all the way up to the second lock point. Also, do a better job routing the hydraulic line than I did.

Now, if you're going to ask me, "If you had to break out the floor jack to make your quick jack work, is it really effective?" My answer is "Not really. Buy a 5,000 series like you're supposed to."
Maybe that was the problem, I shouldn't have ordered the EXT. What I remember was two options, EXT & SXT and SXT was supposed to be longer IIRC. However, I went back to Pelican Parts to look around and see what was available but they're offering different models now.
Note: I purchased in late July. Had a child in August so I didn't mess with it until recently. In hindsight, shouldn't have waited. Oh well.
I have a 7000 as well, and it works with everything I have from a Miata to an Expedition.
Maybe if you contact Quickjack they will work with you. You never know unless you ask
I bought the big one too last year. Had to jack the car up with a floor jack to get the quickjack under the car. Not good.
There is a 30 day return policy and they honored their warranty and I sent it back. A bit of work, but wasn't stuck with a lift that was too big.
By the measurements it seemed like i could get one lift that would do the car, suv, and 911. One size does not fit all.
Best,
I had a 5000 and sold it. I now have a 7000 and it works fine. The EXT is longer so does not fit under our shorter wheelbase, although your solution seems to work well. You can also get extensions for the regular 70000 to make it 6 inches longer!

Thanks for this info on the EXT (or "X") version. I just ordered the shorter 5000SLX on sale through Home Depot for $1100. It appears the SLX is the older version that goes to 21" height and all their current models ending in "TL" or "TLX" go to 24".
I guess not for heavier cars, where aside from longer wheelbase you need heavy lift to work in other cars/trucks too (as some of us have). Not everybody has only one application. From my side, if I'm pulling the trigger in this, I want to use QJ in my full size 4x4 Tundra too, which weights almost 6 Ton, so a 5000 is little bit short. Now Comparing 5000TL and 7000TL, aside from lift capacity and thickness of frame, the length of frames are 70" (5000TL) vs 70.75" (7000TL). I measured the length of 73" (at 3" high from edge of tire to edge of tire) and it seems that the QJ 7000TL will fit without any "prelift" needed). So I would like to check if anybody with the 7000TL can confirm that it works.
I had a similar quandary with a scissor lift, I ended up building some lift pucks like the normal jack pads, but made them 3" thick.
It was just enough to allow the lift arms to set correctly and lift before they hit the tires.. I used boat rollers cut down and filled with Epoxy.
