I just finished doing this. Took 10 minutes and made a huge difference. Before I had to be 2-3 feet away now it�s more like 30. Renntech has a Technical service bulletin which covers it in detail located here TSB the gist of it is 1) pull the drivers visor out of its medial mount. 2 ) swing the visor out laterally (like you are trying to block the sun from the drivers side window) 3) this will expose the visor mount 4)using a small flat head screw driver pop out the oval cover plate. This will expose two screws (mine were T27 others are hex ) 5) remove the two screws (some have washers. Mine didn�t) 6) pull off the visor mounting plate (the visor will come with it) 7) now remove the a pillar. You will have to pull it firmly toward the midline off the car (it�s held in by 2 spring clips. Mine were very firm) 8)this will expose a Velcro wrapped wire bundle. 9) unwrap the Velcro and identify the white wire (this is the antenna) 10) isolate the white wire from the rest of the bundle 11) keeping the white wire out side of the Velcro wrap the remainder of the bundle back up with the Velcro 12) tape the wire to the out side of the bundle and replace the bundle back it the A pillar 13) test it out with your FOB 14) replace the A pillar covering 15) replace the visor

I did the same thing 6 years ago, works great, works even better with key FOB held to my chin even further away.
