Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm hoping someone can help me out. I want to wax my black racecar but the front it so pitted that putting wax on it results in more white than black. Is there such a thing as color coded wax? A wax that would leave black residue rather than white? Any other suggestions? Thanks, Jim

POST 2Original post

Hi Jim, Have you tried a synthetic polish like Zaino or Rejex? They leave no white residue. I highly recommend Zaino.

POST 3Original post

Jim, turtle wax makes a black colored wax just for such applications.

POST 4Original post

www.topoftheline.com makes a black colored wax, with properties of PS21, wipes off clean on rag, not black like the turtle wax stuff, and covers paint chips pretty well. I think it is about 30 bucks for enough to do your car once or twice depending on how much you need to do. The process is layered and the more cover you need the more times you need to go over the affected area. It is great for covering swirls in black paint and you can get your black car back to that wet look when it was new.You really need to follow the directions carefully and to the letter, make sure it is absol;utely clean with al wax residue removed, do not let it dry on the car, and do just small portions at a time. That is critical. I screwed it up the first time, because I tried to do too big of an area at one time. The entire hood is way too much. After doing the hood in about 6 different sections in three passes I achieved what I was looking for. Ended up having to buy more to finish the car, but in the end the swirls are almost all gone and the paint chips are only noticable if you look really close
