I have a rattle coming from the back in and around the rear glass. I can hear it while I drive (think large crickett chirps) but I want to take panels off and see if I have a loose clip or something is broken.
How do I remove the one flat panel that is directly underneath the window? And how do I remove the side panels adjacent to the back piece?
Your rear glass regulator may need to be replaced. Are you sure it's the rear window rattling and not the front? The front glass tends to get loose when doors are shut too fast and glass is caught outside of roof.
You have 1 panel under the rear window. You'll have to pry out the bezel that the front seatbelt goes through. Underneath, you'll see a philips screw (don't drop it)
Remove the post that your rear seat back locks into w a hex wrench.
Remove rear spkr, unclip spkr, there is another screw inside the panel..
If you have a cab, remove the button where the windstop attaches into.
Bent the panel a little and you can remove it.
Careful not break a tab at the window sill.
Rear glass regualtor? What's that? The only thing the back glass has on it is the rear defroster.
Yes, I'm sure it's the rear. It's the right rear corner to be exact.
1. Pull seat belt rose cover up and off.
2. Undo fastening screw behind it (be careful not to drop it into the chassis).
3. Detach side-panel lining by unscrewing the hex bolt for the rear seat latch. Pull locking lugs of side-panel lining out of the clips in the rear side section and move forward enough to get at the back of the speaker.
4. Disconnect the loudspeaker electrical plug connection and disconnect. Remove panel.
