I just checked but the harness won't reach the OBD connector.

While pulling off the plastic AC vent hose located below the switch I think I pulled and disconnected a set of cables with connectors.

Turns out I had installed the electrical switch incorrectly which was the cause of the problem.

Thanks to the remnants of Ericka which requires the use of windshield wipers, I just discovered that my windshield wipers do not work, along with the fan.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

To close this thread, took the car to my local indy shop this morning and they fixed it.
Hello. I changed the ignition switch on my 99 C2. While pulling off the plastic AC vent hose located below the switch I think I pulled and disconnected a set of cables with connectors. The problem is I cannot locate where it should be plugged.
After installing the switch, I noticed the AC unit worked but the fan did not. No air blowing through the vents. When I went under the dash to see if I may have disconnected something I saw the connector and cannot locate where it belongs. I assume it is the connector for the AC fan, but have no idea where to reconnect it.
My local indy shop is closed and its about to rain. Remnants of Ericka.
If anyone can tell me where the connector goes or a picture I would be forever grateful!!!
Thanks for your time.
Cheers
Im probably wrong but it almost looks like the back part of the OBDII connector but since your fans not working I would assume it is part of that system. With the air duct out it should be obvious?
With the console side covers come off it should be visible. Sometimes it just takes a break. Very tight area down there, room wise for a normal person. I dont know how it could have come unplugged but look at the back side of the AC/heat control part in your console (by radio). It could be part of the array that goes on the back side of that control module in your console?
KrazyK-Thanks. That's what I'll have to do. I have the console delete so it shouldn't take too much time after I loosen the console. That will open up the space too. I'll report back.
Found the connector. Now the green auto speed ready light on the speedometer works, for the first time since I owned this car. However, the AC fan still does not work. Checked the fuses and found nothing. The AC unit turns on, compressor turns on, radiator fans on, and all LEDs work, but no air out of the vents. I'm wondering if it has to do with the ignition switch instead. Not sure why but the fan was working until I changed the switch. Frustrating. Will check again tomorrow when motivation returns. If nothing then off to my Indy.
Thanks to the remnants of Ericka which requires the use of windshield wipers, I just discovered that my windshield wipers do not work, along with the fan. Must be the ignition switch.
Id say it's your ignition switch. When mine stated going out I could turn the car on but the ac fans wouldn't kick on, but if turned the key a little to the right or left they would turn on while car was running.
To close this thread, took the car to my local indy shop this morning and they fixed it. They replaced the switch with a new one. Now the AC fan and windshield wipers work. Turns out I had installed the electrical switch incorrectly which was the cause of the problem. Two hours labor charge. Good deal.
