Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, last week my 996 started intermittently lighting the ABS and PSM lights. A forum search led me to the brake switch. When I checked the brake lights, they worked when first touching the brake pedal, but as I pressed it in farther, they shut off. I took that as solid confirmation that the switch was the culprit. It was a really easy repair. I did have to put just a touch of lithium grease on it to get it turn into place. The brake lights now work as they should and I am ABS and PSM light free so far. While I was at it I installed my Father's Day present, a lighter socket upgrade that allows you to actually use phone chargers, GPSs, etc. http://suncoastparts.com/product/PK9X6LIGHTER.html This was a very easy install too. With a pick and hook set, the green fitting with the lamp in it easily disconnects from the clear ring. Then you just press the old out, the new in, and reconnect the lamp and wiring. Last, I pulled out the passenger side headlight to replace the washer nozzle. I bought a used replacement that has the factory hose and connector on it. It looks like the front bumper will have to come off. The other option is to cut the factory clamp off of both and use some aftermarket clamp. I think I'll take this as a sign that I need to clean my radiators! Anyway, a bit of work down and glad to be driving the 996 again. I missed it!

POST 2Original post

Yeah, both of my washer nozzles flew off at some point and I need to replace them at some point. I did have the bumper off in the Spring - that's when I first noticed the missing nozzles. I also meant to re-route the emergency frunk pull, but forgot about it halfway through the job :/ I guess that gives me something to do next Spring... R
