Plan to go on sat to test fit them, but curious if anyone here can help on fitment, and also opinions.

Went by my friends shop today and we test fit, and all looks good so far.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Howdy all,
I may have an oppty to get a set of HRE wheels for my 2002 C2 Cab. 2 questions:
I have a choice between the monoblock P40 and the monoblock P43. Leaning toward the P40, as I think they look sportier. Both are in 19" Opinions? I cant find a lot of good pics of 996's with P40s. Our car is Lapis Blue; anybody have any pics of either on their car they can post up?
Question for the experts; I cant find anything definitive on sizing. The rims are Front: 19x 8.5, ET51
Rear: 19x11, ET56
Seems like they should fit, but can anyone confirm? Also, if I eventually plan to lower the car, any potential issues to look for?
Plan to go on sat to test fit them, but curious if anyone here can help on fitment, and also opinions.
Thanks!
I have p40's on my car, however I did not purchase them so I can't comment on the options for sizing.
Mine are 19" and I run techart coilovers, tires rub the liners a wee bit when turning hard. They do not rub the fenders though and I have not had any abnormal wear on my tires from it. It has only "polished" the liners a bit.
Those look fantastic! Are thos 19x11 in back? 8.5 wide in front? If so, what size tires are you running? Thanks to everyone who replied. I emailed satoru about fitment, and got a great response very quickly. Went by my friends shop today and we test fit, and all looks good so far. Bought the rims, now looking for tires!
285/30 and 235/35 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S.
They are great tires on this car from what I can tell. I have never had anything else though.
Post up a pic of your new rims once you get them!!!
sorry but 19 inch wheels and tires are not correct ,this car wasnt designed for that fitment, may look cool in photos, but the driving dynamics wont be as good, especially if you ever want to participate in a driver education or autocross events with your local porsche club,i realize 18 inch fitments are becoming harder to find,,HRE does still manufactures 18s.you will find alot of arguments on here about 18s vs 19s so please check all that out..........good luck,HRE is a quality product.
Hmmm....okay...So please help me understand this, as it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Understand Im not trying to be argumentative or be a jerk, I genuinely hadn't heard that before.
How would going +1 sizing impact handling beyond a harsher ride/tighter turn-in due to lower sidewall IF:
Overall tire diameter is the same
Offset isn't really different
Unsprung weight is the same or less
Only thing I could see being an issue, and I discussed with my guy, was a little different front/rear balance due to wider tires being on the back than currently, but nothing around wheel diameter. The dealer I met with is a really good friend of mine that builds/campaigns cars for privateers and in the Grand Am series (successfully), so I trust his input.
So please help me understand what Im missing?
of course i understand, just do a search here on the 996 forum and you will read all different opinions and arguments about the subject, then you will be able to decide for yourself.
