Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I was looking for them at year end, I spoke with several vendors who, when they checked stock levels, showed a Qty of ONE worldwide, and that was on the shelf in Germany.

Yeah, I wont mention what I paid for the combo, as I got snagged in some shenanigans between the two items and during the price change w/2 vendors.

Does anyone know how long Porsche makes parts like this after the car run ends?

I have a Numeric shifter in my 996 and run with a stock 997 leather/aluminum **** ****.

I haven't installed it yet; I bought it mostly thinking I would re-use the boot with the silver horseshoe, but the **** it comes with seems pretty good, so I may give it a shot.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, I have a stock shift **** on my 2001 and just do not like the feel. Just the shape I guess. Want something a bit thicker/rounder perhaps. (no sexual jokes please lol
)
I like the OEM Porsche ***** that usually have the carbon fiber or crest engraved into them as they are a bit thicker. However, they are $$$.
Another option is the 997 shift **** but just looking for anyones opinion regarding what feels best to them. I am NOT looking for an all stainless steel **** which will burn my hand. Just something with a thicker/fuller feel.
All recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!
I have a Numeric shifter in my 996 and run with a stock 997 leather/aluminum **** ****. I love the feel of the 997 **** so much better than the 996s' oddly shaped stump. It's a simple install. The ***** are interchangeable.
I just purchased the Function First vented shift **** in black. Because of the set screws you can mount it higher than stock if you so choose. I like the looks so hopefully I'll like it when it arrives!

This is the one I installed in mine shortly after I got it.
I bought it along with the aluminum & leather e-brake handle. I got both from ECS Tuning. No, they aren't cheap, but you see and touch both of them every time you drive the car. So, to me, they are worth it because they make driving the car a lot more enjoyable.
Is it recommended that I replace my shifter linkage while I am in there or just leave it as is?
This **** looks pretty nice.

Lol
Yes looks pretty good quality and would pass for OEM. I like the GT3 **** in alcantara that ECS has but I believe that still retains the same shape.
I actually have that one as well. I haven't installed it yet; I bought it mostly thinking I would re-use the boot with the silver horseshoe, but the **** it comes with seems pretty good, so I may give it a shot. Overall seems like its put together pretty well. Only downside is that its only avail in black.

I put my hat in the ring for a GP2 ****, thinking I would use it with the boot/horseshoe mentioned above in the ebay ad.
Yeah, I wont mention what I paid for the combo, as I got snagged in some shenanigans between the two items and during the price change w/2 vendors. Bottom line is that Im not even sure they are making those shift ***** anymore, or the e-brake. When I was looking for them at year end, I spoke with several vendors who, when they checked stock levels, showed a Qty of ONE worldwide, and that was on the shelf in Germany.
Does anyone know how long Porsche makes parts like this after the car run ends? Im guessing they will still make them, but only in small batches at outrageous prices?
