Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In regards to my ongoing issue with rough startups, diagnosed by the dealer as most likely an issue with the DMF, i took the transmission out and as well the DMF and the Crank Position Sensor.
Leading evidence: 'issue' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'issue' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Test " everything seems' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I did the "twist test" everything seems to be fine, it works just as it should.

There does seem to be a lot more to testing a DMF before you can say nothing is wrong with it.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

At the first glance, i don't think there is anything wrong with the DMF. I did the "twist test" everything seems to be fine, it works just as it should. So then i found this procedure to test the flywheel sensor, and if i am reading this right it seems to be gone?
Reading between pins 1 and 2.
Reading between pins 1 and 3.
Just don't understand if it's shot, then why am i not getting the code?
A failing crankshaft positon sensor does not affect emissions thus there will (probably) be no error code.
If there is an error code, it could be a misfire error code, or codes, as the malfunctioning crankshaft position sensor (or the DMF) is causing misfires to be detected when the cylinders are just fine. The misfires arise from the inconsistent behavior of the sensor (or the DMF).
Thanks Macster, i was getting misfires on daily basis. From each cylinder and of course the total misfire with it. I think the DMF is fine, so it very well could be the sensor.

Could be a corroded pin/ wire in the main wire harness, too. Ask Mklein about his experience with this.
That said the "twist test" is marginal at best. The Luk DMF measurement tool is the proper and accurate way to measure this.
Also, did you measure the unit warm? I've learned to warm the units up before testing. It came the hard way.
The test did require the sensor to be at 20deg C. In all honesty, my garage may have been at half of that while i did the measurements. But if this sensor is active during startup, then i would need it to show valid readings even at colder temperatures then that. I'll see if the readings change if warmer.
This must be the LUK test you refer to?

There does seem to be a lot more to testing a DMF before you can say nothing is wrong with it. I don't have all of those fancy measurement toys, but i will try to replicate somehow those tests. Especially the rock test. Thanks.
