Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

After I dug out the the trailer and pull it into the driveway (leaving ruts in the lawn....another project for later), I took her off the jack stands (changed the technique from last season), I took the cover off, wiped down the dew and took out the key.

Put the key in and saw the lights come on, watched the oil level (check!) and then cranked it a few times.

The long rain on Saturday left clean conditions for a 75mile trip on Sunday with my son.

The roads are still full of crap around here, but next week I will trailer her down to CT for a track inspection, change the brake fluid and pull the front end to have the radiators checked and cleaned......Track season starts in 3 weeks, if Mother Nature gives us a break.......Simply can't wait to get back out there and enjoy the camaraderie and get back on track!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Okay, guys, thought that some of you would appreciate my excitement!
Each year, she get tucked away in the garage, plenty of Stabilz, trickle charger, cover goes on and she sits..........and sits.......and sits.........
Well, despite the snow, today, I decided it is about time. After I dug out the the trailer and pull it into the driveway (leaving ruts in the lawn....another project for later), I took her off the jack stands (changed the technique from last season), I took the cover off, wiped down the dew and took out the key.
Each Spring, I jump in and hope that the mice haven't been feasting in the wiring, despite a full blown assault with traps, etc. (no "bounce" sheets this past year).
Put the key in and saw the lights come on, watched the oil level (check!) and then cranked it a few times. 2nd attempt and "Houston we have a go!!!!!!" Absolutely awesome!!!!! Let her run for a while and it definitely brings a smile to my face!!!! The joys of Spring are soon upon us after a visciously cold, cold snowy winter.

Each year I question why we put up with this in the Northeast, especially when the rest of the country seems to enjoy great driving weather all year........but this is life up North, on the Vermont border. We grin, gripe and bear it.......all for the hope that Springs eternal...........so, I don't care what the weatherman said this morning about another inch or so up here, I just might grab the heater, track chair, and a cigar and sit and stare at the wonders of Spring (might need a glass of scotch, too,...... to take the chill off), but hey, sure beats looking at her under the covers.............
a big +1!!
I'm so jealous of my CA/TX/FL friends that enjoy their toys year round. However, I like to tell myself that absence makes the heart grow fonder
Checked on my clan in the barn yesterday....... all four under covers, no sign of mice, no sign of moisture, (yet) all quiet and sleeping soundly. Still a couple feet of snow on the other side of the barn door.
Gonna be a few more weeks...... I long for the sound of those engines. Been a looooooong winter.
Scott, I have been doing that since October. My problem is I can only stare at a pic of my old car while sitting in the spot where the car sat before selling it. The 997 is due within a few weeks and I have been imagining the exhaust note more and more. Soon enough all will be right with the world.......again
You put yours up on stands eh? I considered that but after some reading, decided against it. What's your thinking around putting it up on stands....just curious! I can feel your excitement, I got it too!
Hey Pete
I think ur situation is more difficult than mine! I get to look at mine, all you got is an old pix, yikes!!!! BUT, ur new baby will be home soon. When is the Raby stork supposed to deliver? Hang in there.............
@ liljohny
A few thoughts this winter. No flat spots on the tires and didn't want to crank up the psi. Some say bounce sheets don't work, while I've had good luck with them, I wanted to raise the car up (high enough?) so the mice wouldn't jump up and didn't want to climb in for a snack. Also thought maybe a good idea to let the suspension "hang"???? Who knows? Just something different I guess. I have been looking for a 120v mid rise scissor lift......... as that could solve a bunch of "issues."
@Gretch
I hear ya, still about a foot on the ground around here........ But I couldn't wait any longer......like a small ray of warm sunshine watching the exhaust breathe............... All is good today!
You are a bad, bad person!
I debated Friday if I should call the insurance company and putting the insurance back on, but chose not to.
Sure wished I did, especially looking out the window today to sunny blue sky and pretty dry roads.....
I'll likely get the car on the road next weekend!
(but sill keeping the snowblower in the garage just in case.)
It was 101 here over the weekend, so I had to get my Sunday drive in early before it got too hot to keep the windows down and the sunroof open.
I cut it short anyway, since I had the Australian GP to watch. Looks like Mercedes is going to spend another year walking everyone else...
55 days under cover. The long rain on Saturday left clean conditions for a 75mile trip on Sunday with my son. He asked me if we could make the car louder next time...sent an email to FD yesterday. Collceted a few more upgrade parts over the winter as well. Looking forward to warmer weekends.
