Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This panel is bolted with 2x bolts into the roof itself on my convertible. However, there's loose "nuts" or similar inside the "pillar" above the windshield for the bolts to attach. (Words might be diffrent, but the best words I could come up with to describe the parts without knowing the original names.) But the previous owner seems to have pulled to hard when mounting back the panel and so the "nut" on one side broke. So the bolt wont attach and hold the panel up. So when trying to close the roof, the hook is trying to pull this panel down, since it's loose on one side when "locking" the roof to the body. Does anyone know how to change the attachments for the bolts inside the roof? One screw actually fell down today. I bent the nut tighter with a flat screwdriver in the hole since the nut inside is cracked on one side, and could attach the bolt very loose, but I can't attach it properly with power, and it will probably shake down since it's broken inside. This panel: Inside looks like this: (picture taken from google from something else, just to describe the type of damage on the inside) With kind regards, Jonathan.
