Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Install starter cable' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install starter cable' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hi guys so I'm putting everything back together after pulling the engine for head repair and rebuild. I can't find the pics I took and I can't seem to remember the routing of some hoses and a couple electrical cables.
1st question- I installed the starter cable which has another heavy gauge cable attached to the jump start terminal, this cable wraps around and back towards the front. It is attached to the coolant pipe and terminates with a bracket with a threaded post and a nut I believe the main power cable attaches to this and the bracket mounts to the pipe. While I was under there I noticed another loose cable that could be a ground or could be something else. I don't want to short something out by connecting this cable to this little junction box. If it helps ,this lose cable is wrapped with the harness that attaches to the end of the transmission (manual tranny) see diagram. I want to say that little junction box had three terminals ends stacked on that bolt. but cant be positive ,oh and the loose wire is black and has a white line along its side.

Hose #20 attaches at the front of the engine.
I think hose #30 at the heat exchanger goes to the coolant reservoir (near the fill cap). Visible here crossing over bank #1 intake runners.
My car does not appear to have item #16. Hose #12 from the top of the AOS (the shorter of the two AOS coolant hoses) goes to a nipple on a much larger coolant hose. The nipple is broken off of mine. Also in this photo, is the nipple on the coolant reservoir for the heat exchanger hose (between pressure release and fill cap).
New hose with nipple intact.
Thank you! Now if I can just figure out what that other cable is and if I can connect it to the little 1 post terminal attached to the coolant pipe above the tranny.
Anyone know what it is?
I is routed with the plug for the reverse switch but I dont think it is part of that circuit, it looks like the main power cable that attached to the bracket mounted to the coolant pipe. This bracket has a little door and one threaded post I side.
There was probably no need to get in there and remove any of those connectors. That is 12v positive. Thus the reason for the protective block around it.
Thanks Scott! You are awesome! Yeah I should not have unplugged it. I coul have simply disconnected at the engine , which I know now. I really appreciate it, I had looked everywhere!
