The BMS shuts the battery down before it can become over discharged and damaged and the wireless jump starting, activated using a key fob, accesses the dedicated reserve to get the vehicle started after the battery has gone into sleep mode so you're never left stranded or with a totally dead battery/

Left the side light/parking lights on for 24 hours. There is still some juice in the batteries as I was able to pop open the hood. Tried jumpstarting using a 2003 4Runner.. Without jumpstart there is a clicking when I try to turn the car on and with jumper cables attached there are two or three weak turns. I followed all of the procedures in the manual.
Before I go to autozone to get a new battery (which seems like logical next step) is there anything that I am missing here. Battery was working fine before this, and the battery is not completely dead at this point.
Better yet, buy/keep a portable jump starter (search gooloo on Amazon) and never jump a car again. Drove a defender with a sometimes bad (one bad cell) battery for 5 months and it started it every time I was stuck with only 10v.
Hi everyone, we've got a couple items that can really help anyone from running into the same problems in the future...1st and foremost is our Automotive Battery with wireless built in jump starting. Yes it is a high performance light weight battery but in addition also has a great lifespan (8-10 years) along with a battery management system that protects the battery from getting over discharged or over charged. Another option which is extremely low cost in comparison to replacing a battery is the Battery Tracker. This module attaches directly to the battery and transmits real time data to your smart phone anytime you come within 30 feet of the vehicle. It will also send you notifications if the battery is low to keep you in the know. Just a great little tool to help you keep track of your voltage and maintain your battery and we have them for lead/acid batteries as well for lithium batteries like ours.

thanks for all the quick replies. Will update once I get issue resolved. My mind tells me, its just like any other car + battery, but Ze germans like to overengineer sometimes and the manual is lacking in detail other than frightening warning labels
Insurance companies should give discounts to anyone with one of these truck batteries. Saves them money on emergency jump starts, which are often covered by auto insurance or AAA memberships.
