Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, new to posting on the forum but have been gleaning information for a while. Great database of information to say the least, anyways I thought it might be kind of fun to offer you guys up some photoshop help. Basically if you're thinking about changing you're rims, lowering you're car, tinting you're windows and are curious to see how these concepts might look, I may be able to help you out. I like to chop and if I don't have things to work on my skills get a little rusty. So maybe we can have a little fun in this thread. Here is a sample of one of the forum members cars I just chopped he wanted to see what it would look like with a black hood. Basically you put up the pics in here and I'll try my best make it happen. BTW I have a 996c2.

POST 2Original post

Wow, thank you MRWW. No offense to others who helped me out in the other thread, but yours is the best looking. I honestly admire those with PhotoShop skill. By any chance you can make the side mirrors and wheels black? This thread is going to be fun. Post pics of your 996 as well.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After thinking about this for a minute, I think amber was what you may have meant?

POST 7Original post

Why do we have two identical threads going on about this? I say, don't stop at the black hood if you want contrasting body panels. You will just look cheap. Do the whole car. .

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I started a new thread because I figured as a new poster to the forum it would be a cool way to come in.

POST 9Original post

Ah, I see. The original thread was a guy wanting to know what his car would look like with a black hood, and this is just for general photoshops of any vehicle. This was for a former RL member: .

POST 10Original post

Or, maybe I misunderstood, and the idea was to submit our cars and have you 'shop 'em? OK, here's my wheels. I always wanted a car with flames on the front and sides, a fat racing stripe, and maybe a big skull mural with a bleeding eyeball socket on the hood. Do your best!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

here ya go

POST 12Original post

I like it... think I'll run down to the nearest 1-Day Paint and have 'em do it. 'cept still needs the bleeding eyeball skull hood mural. And, the wheels need to be maybe gold or copper or something. The pink makes the car too flashy.

LGBT pride right there.

POST 14Original post

That shiny black hood sorta goes with with your Targa glass roof.

POST 15Original post

Looking at painting my wheels... Gloss black on the inside with a silver edge. What would it look like on my car? Wheels sort of like this. Unfortunately I do need a certain quality of image to start with, especially on detailed tasks. A cell phone pic at night is not going to work with any decent result for what you want. Get a better image.

POST 17Original post

Cool intro to the board, welcome! How about redoing the wheels in a gunmetal gray colour? TIA

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well it looks like I have reached my allowance of images that the board will let me load. Ive never seen a forum cut you off for posting content before LOL Whats the solution here?

POST 19Original post

Open an account on Photobucket.com. It's free. The other option is getting a paid membership to the forum, which allow you to save more pics.

POST 25Original post

To be fair, hi-res images are easier to work with. As a consolation prize this is what I could do with image you posted.

POST 26Original post

How difficult would it be to photoshop a nice chin spoiler on mine? Maybe one that's body color and maybe one black with my twists and mirrors painted black??

POST 27Original post

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 11196290

The chin spoiler would not be difficult at all assuming that we had an image of a car with one at roughly the same angle as the image of your car. Anything is possible with photoshop if someone is willing to spend the time on it, what Im doing here is just simple quick chops The site will no longer allow me to upload images from photobucket so I am going to provide links to the chopped images. so much for a cool thread to browse through, maybe admin can help out a bit with this as it is pretty cool "free" interactive content for the site? http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t...pse9b64797.jpg

POST 29Original post

Good job MRWW!!! Ya got someone so pissed off at you that they want you banned, by only your 13th post!! I'm impressed. Usually takes me at least 15 posts on any forum!

POST 30Original post

I don't have any skills at Photoshop. I'll let you know if I need you to "chop" or "shop" something for me. Thanks.

POST 31Original post

Thanks MRWW! I was toying with doing the wheels. Glad I had you do them first. I'm not as fond as I thought I would be

POST 32Original post

Hahaha...just read back...forum drama. Jeez. Thanks again for the chop!

That's the whole point of this thread, fun, cheap way to see if you want to make a change. I have done all kinds of renderings on my car that I thought would be cool, turns out they pretty much nailed it from the factory LOL. I am still on the fence about tinting my windows, I'd like to keep the sun off me during the day, however I want as much visibility at night as possible. At the end of the day these cars are awesome

POST 34Original post

MRWW Thanks for the orange & amber headlight shop job. Just testing your mad skills! Thanks for the fun thread.

Thanks for the shop. That pic brings out a lot of purple in the car and is making me rethink the gold. Wow... any chance tyou can take the color from this wheel and try it?

POST 40Original post

Thanks to both you guys. We are in the process of buying a new house so gratuitous mods like suspension drops will have to wait but it will come with time.

POST 41Original post

You guys are good. Just got H&R Sport springs installed and it looks pretty dead on with the shops above. Dropped it about 1.5 inches all around. Looks really great. Will post a pic or two when I have a chance.

POST 42Original post

Two - fer. Flat black wheels and standard (glossy) black wheels. Thanks!
