This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Please help me determine whether specific Gemballa wheels will work on my 996 C4S. I located a set of Gemballa Speedline Corse Competition wheels for sale with the following specs: 8.5X18; ET 33 10X18 ET 52. My research on OEM turbo twist wheels shows original front offset at ET 50 while rear can be between ET 65 and ET 45 depending on width. So, I suspect the Gemballa rears will work without issue but Im concerned about the fronts. I think reducing 17mm of offset will change too much geometry, wear the wheel bearings, perhaps reduce steering feel, and make rubbing the fender all too probable. How should I make a decision?

POST 2Original post

this may help - says you'll need a 17mm spacer https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/in..._chart/porsche

I have a set of Gemballa's that will fit your C4S - NIB LeMans

POST 4Original post

Not sure if it helps but my fronts are 18x8.5 with a 45mm offset. My rears are 18x11 with a 36mm offset.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All, Thanks for the responses. Admittedly, I’m not an expert on these topics, but my analysis indicates I wouldn’t need additional spacers … in fact the opposite is my concern. If OEM offset for the front is 50mm and the Gemballa is 33mm … I’d be inducing 17mm negative offset (vs. OEM), thus pushing the wheel/tire out. Although that may be a good look, the concerns stated above remain. Fracture, what are the specs on your Gemballas? Thanks.
