Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Guys, Just completed a lot of the maintenance items on my 2000 Cab. IMS Solution, Rms,UAOS, clutch, flywheel, water pump etc etc. Ive put a few hundred miles on her over a few weeks with no issues, happy camper right! Until. I went to put the top up and it raised up about half way and stopped and lowered back down. Looks to be some leakage on the passenger side seal but no puddles under the car. My question is how do I get the top into the service position from the full open position? I searched and all I can find is the emergency operation which has other consequences like taking it to a dealer for calibration. is that the only option? Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

I would pull your cover to the hydraulics with the top down and fill the reservoir to operate your top to be able to remove the cylinders and rebuild them.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

But doesn’t the top have to be in the service position to access that cover?

POST 4Original post

If you try to actuate the top and "help" it by gently pulling on the top edge while pushing the button, that might get you past the low hydraulic fluid pressure.
