Both tail pipes have always been pretty clean. I noticed yesterday both appear dirtier than before (black soot). Both side. I check the oil, that seems fine. I did recently change to the FISTER exhaust. Could that be related since a lot of the exhaust is bypassing the actual baffler part of the mufflers? Otherwise, car runs fine. No lights. Thanks. David

Put away in November. I changed the mufflers over the winter. Have driven about 700 miles. I use Shell or Mobil. It's not a greasy, thick soot. When I run my finger over it, it leaves a light gray on the finger. Thanks for responding.

A lot of things are going to come into play on this one. Last air filter change, spark plugs, coils, oil/filter change? What does the inside of the throttle body look like? Any recent CEL?

No CEL's. Oil changed in December. The car runs fine. I monitor gauges hot and cold at idle (notes) same as day 1. Nothing weird going on. The air filter I have not changed but it looks really clean. Spark Plugs I have no idea. Car runs great so I put on list of things to do later. I bought the car 2 years ago from a daughter who took car from 82 year old father. Of course she doesn't know where receipts are. I've put about 5k on it. It's had two PPI's done in my ownership. When I bought and last year when I took for a brake fluid change. New belt, front diff seals, oil return tube... ouch. I am dropping off tomorrow for a noise in the front tomorrow. I'll have them check that out too. Thanks All.
