Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've just recently changed over to the Dunlop R compound tires, and noticed that they heat up much faster than Pilot Cups.
Leading evidence: 'Replace over' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust front tire pressures' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Suggestion
I wound run 36 psi in the rear and adjust the front tire pressures to minimize understeer.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just got a new set of narrowbody GT3 wheels 8"x11" with Bridgestone SO2A N3's on MY04 996 with x74 suspension and I am experiencing much more understeer (no track use.) Apparently this setup changes the
handling characteristics
on several levels with regard to increased weight and increased relative rear width. There is not much retrievable information on 8x11's with the search function.
6speedonline.com
is recommending 36/44. Does anyone have any advice/experience with this setup?
Your car has been designed to understeer and the 18x11 rear wheels have only made this worse. The PSI recommendations that you quoted from 6speedonline are very high and will loosen your dental fillings. I wound run 36 psi in the rear and adjust the front tire pressures to minimize understeer. You will not be able to adjust out the understeer without going to adjustable sway bars and other GT3 suspension pieces to get you more negative camber. This is not worth the money and effort for a street car.
If you're driving anywhere near Los Angeles, don't go too low with the rear tire pressure. You will bend your rims like they're made of tin on these roads. I run 42 in the rears with no problems. On the track, it depends on ambient temperature as well as track layout etc., but it's generally a LOT lower than that.
The pressure you run will also depend on the tires. I've just recently changed over to the Dunlop R compound tires, and noticed that they heat up much faster than Pilot Cups. Now I run 32/30 cold...putting more air into the front tires...
