The bumper is what is getting replaced so with the existing lights you have it won't match up to the turbo bumper.

Suggestion

I haven't looked closely in person, but at least by those pics the shape of the .1 and .2 lights look the same until you get down to the bumper (which would be getting replaced).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will a 996 OEM turbo front bumper fit on a 1999 C2? My original front bumper needs a some attention, probably a respray- so thought I would post the question.. worked the search and didn't find any definitive results - could be my ADD- Thanks in advance for help / thoughts -

POST 2Original post

Subscribed as well. I do believe they should fit.

POST 3Original post

Different shape headlights on em . The 40 anniversary is in essence what you are trying to do. 7A1F7DD6-BEE6-40EF-B963-11362066B796.jpg 3F780B8D-ADBB-4ACE-A408-355DB03AF6C2.jpg

POST 5Original post

I have a turbo bumper off a 2002 C2 that would likely be a good fit if you are interested.

POST 6Original post

Interested in hearing how this works too. Does any of the ducting behind the bumper need to be changed? Not to jack the OP's thread, but mlemche, is that bumper arctic sliver?

POST 7Original post

You not only need headlights and bumper but upgraded fenders too.

POST 8Original post

Arctic Silver yes. But really should be repainted because it has a scuff the left side.

Are the fenders different? I haven't looked closely in person, but at least by those pics the shape of the .1 and .2 lights look the same until you get down to the bumper (which would be getting replaced). The head lights alone will kill it for most people I think, at least if they have the Xenons. Those housings are damn expensive...

POST 10Original post

The bumper is what is getting replaced so with the existing lights you have it won't match up to the turbo bumper. This thread will help. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/41023-does-anyone-know-if-i-can-throw-on-a-porsche-turbo-bumper-on-a-c4/
