Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So i'm trying to find the OEM aero kit side skirts for a 996.2 C2 and Porsche is saying 4-6 months. Does any one have any leads on a set for sale> If not I've been thinking about an aftermarket poly option such as the FVD's below. https://www.fvd.net/us-en/FVD5599960...yurethane.html Thoughts or advice are much appreciated?

POST 2Original post

I bought these (the whole kit actually) and they are ready to go to paint. Better Bodies - Motorsport Design (gt3tek.com) The fitment looks good, the install will be another story I'm sure

POST 3Original post

Check with some of the larger dealers, they may have them in stock. I ordered mine from Sunset Porsche and they shipped the next day.

POST 4Original post

Ill have a drivers side only from the gt3 im stripping for ssle soon. Pm if interested

I bought these as well and painted/installed them 3 weeks ago. Overall, pretty good. There were some small holes that needed to be filled. I left them in the sun before painting so that they could go back to the right shape. The install was easy. The only thing bad was the driver's side skirt was about 1/4" longer than it should be. Also, order more side skirt mounting clips than they include. I was given 4, I purchased an extra 10 clips.

Good to know. I test fitted front/back pieces and will do the side skirts before I send off to paint. Looks like I should order some extra clips too from Armando. Appreciate the info.

Note taken on extra clips needed Im surprised no one else has tried the FVD I would love to know the fitment of them compared to GT3tek

Fricking awesome, but I didn't go the double sided tape and clips way. My body guy didn't trust it so he used some industrial glue. They ain't flying off at 120!!! But, in all honesty, lots of people have done the tape and clips and I haven't heard any horror stories. The kit needs some work to make ready but the fitment was pretty good overall. I am glad I had the shop that did the prep/paint do the install as well. ***Don't forget (before paint if you can) to cut out under the side skirts the spot where your jack stand pucks go. My guy cut them after and it worked out nice. He was thinking!!! PM me if you want to talk to the shop that did it. They are great. I have all the pics posted on my album you can see. Nick
