I think it's legit. The guy seems very active on the 993 forum and has been around for going on two years with 300 posts. Why would he crap in his own backyard? Why not just reach out to him instead of speculating over here?
This. Check the CARFAX and get a PPI. Talk to the uncle whom the Rennlister is selling it for. Also seems like he's active on RL, so that's a positive.
Totally normal, at least for a 99. I have heard that standard temps (at least what is displayed) tend to be different on 99s and other 996s, even .1s. I am not exactly sure why though.
If I go forward is anyone in the Oceanside area that could take a look for me? Also does anyone know of a shop in that area for a PPI?

don�t worry too much about the temp. Remove the bumper and clean the radiators. Install a low temp thermostat. I also run the coolant at 33 percent and I add water wetter. Car seems like a good deal specially with the hard top. All the convertibles I have driven with the soft top on make too much noise at supersonic speeds(triple digits). I�m not crazy about that green interior. If I didn�t have my 99 I would have placed an offer on this car. Wish you the best.
