Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking to quiet down the car a bit. I have a 996 with fabspeed maxflo and fabspeed x pipe. I am finding that at 1800-2800 rpm something is vibrating in my brain. Has anyone swapped the x-pipe with no cats to an x-pipe with cats? If so, does it become more tolerable noise wise? Don't want to reinvent the wheel here, would like to tweak what I have, but if I need to I will probably go to a PSE system which I have had before. Thanks

POST 2Original post

POST 6Original post

I have Fabspeed max flow system, fadspeed intake with speedtech xpipe with 200 cell cats and it’s not super loud at low rpm and sounds awesome WOT.

POST 7Original post

I have Fabspeed Maxflos and the catless x-pipe. Theres no vibration from mine. Check that nothing Is touching. X-pipe and sub frame?

POST 8Original post

At 1800-2800, not sure any NVH is intolerable, but would be hard to determine if coming from motor mounts or exhaust system. Running Fabspeed xpipe and stock mufflers.

POST 9Original post

I have a Fabspeed xpipe that has 4 race mufflers welded in I can sell you.
