Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey all! I run a PC Hardware YouTube channel with a decent amount of subs (BPS Customs), and I recently started a side project called BPS Garage. It's just going to be another creative outlet for me, and I'll be talking about the cars I own, have owned, or want to own, as well as showing me working on cars (which I'm hardly qualified to even attempt, but might as well try!). No all videos will be about my 996 911, but the first one is. It's just documenting my purchase as well as what I've done to the car since. It's up on the channel now, I hope you enjoy it! You Tube

POST 2Original post

Only watched first 4 mins so far, but great video! Lovely car BTW!

Thanks!

POST 5Original post

Fun video - but "restoration" is a bit of a stretch... Here's a Porsche that needs restoration.

Nah, that just needs a lick of paint and some wheels. and glass. maybe a few trim bits. the IMS and bore-scoring have probably been sorted already.

Sandpaper and isopropyl alcohol

POST 10Original post

I enjoyed your video since I'm doing a similar rejuvenation of a Lapis Blue '01 C2 cab. On the rear bumper, you showed where the paint on the left "pad" was cracked and then said you'd have to spray the bumper. That one part can be easily removed from the bumper with an allen wrench from the bottom so it could be stripped and sprayed.

I looked into this - it would have cost me ~$200 to repair one one them. They both needed to be painted, plus thre were scratches on the bumper. It only cost me $800 to have the whole bumper done including both bumperettes.

POST 12Original post

Yes, do the whole bumper then. And, I'll try to remember those two lumps are called "bumperettes".
