I had to run errands the past couple of days after work and just didn't want to go through the hassle of pressing that button on the dash

Here's a video clip from an autocross run of mine a few weeks ago.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

We finally got temperatures back in the 70s so for the first time in four months I took the hardtop off.
Although I still had the top up I was quickly reminded just how much sound the hardtop had previously muffled. Sure it was nice for when riding with the wife and kid but it made my car feel a little too quiet.
So today I headed to work and didn't even bother turning the radio on, the sounds that were coming from the back of the car were just too intoxicating - I loved the drive in today.
If only you guys with coupes knew what a great sounding "concert" is taking place back there and how much of it you're missing out on!
Oh and if anyone is wondering I just have the PSE exhaust on my car...love it!
LOL! Actually for track duty I wish I didn't have a convertible as it just complicates things. But for cruising around town I do enjoy it.
Guess the only solution is to buy another that is a coupe!
Here's a video clip from an autocross run of mine a few weeks ago. You can get a bystanders view of the the PSE muffler hack on my MK1. I had the top up because of impending rain, but it still sounded great.
Despite my obviously slow time, I love hearing the sound of it.
I think the angle of the shot is misleading. The spectators (course workers
) are out of the direct line of the autocross cars. Plus, most of them are standing behind a protective light post.
Sounds great!
I'm always shocked by how quiet the stock exhaust is on any non-GT Porsche built after 1995. I'm glad there are options to allow us to hear the flat-6 properly.
In terms of that autocross, I've never seen a course that narrow! But any time you get to drive your car in a performance setting that makes for a good day.
I still haven't put it down but may do so on the way home today. I had to run errands the past couple of days after work and just didn't want to go through the hassle of pressing that button on the dash
