Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
It is truly different from any 911 and with the right bumper, it can really be set off nicely.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I think the 4 door 996 looks better than the current Panamera. Last time I was in Zuffenhausen was 2004. The Porsche museum was about 10,000 square feet and had about a dozen cars on display.
It is interesting to note that this 989 design study was developed around 1989-1990. They had the shape of our 996 rear end already designed two generations of 911 (964 & 993) before 996 production
i wonder where the haters are too. i bet they won't knock a gt1's headlights. who cares anyway. i own an 01 c2 and like the headlights. who cares if another guy doesn't. i'm not selling it. i'm a bit annoyed with guys who bag on another guy's car. the owner didn't design it. maybe the owner bought it because he didn't mind or even liked the way it looked. to each his own.
I was in Darmstadt in May and had a chance to drive on the autobahn from Frankfurt, but didn't have enough time to visit the museum, damn I wish I did, nice pictures!
I like the 996 headlights a lot, especially the MKI. It is truly different from any 911 and with the right bumper, it can really be set off nicely. I will say that the headlights aren't very photogenic a lot of the time. They look way better in person.
I'll have to go there again. The last time was in 1995 where I got escorted by security for accidentally entering a prototype room they accidentally left unlocked.
I've got about 100 more photos if anybody is interested!
I had a great opportunity to visit Europe for about a week right at the end of September. I was with a group of people from work and we had a great time. We rented new 991 cabriolets and drove around Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. I had a 991 C4S - it was a fantastic car. Unfortunately, the rental agreement from Avis specifically states that your insurance is invalid if you take the car on the Ring, or if you crash it while it is in "Sport Plus" mode.
The majority of our drive was on curvy mountain roads, but I did have a nice high speed blast on the autobahn up to 160 mph - with the top down!
They confiscated my film although I might've snapped some pics off on the old roll. I'll have to dig and check. Too bad this was pre-twitter/fb days or it would've instantly been uploaded. The room I was in had mainly the upcoming cup car models and no concepts or anything like that.
That 989 looks like a 968 from the front.
Hey Dennis you should upload all of your photos to one of those sharing sites. I'm sure we'd like to see all of the eye candy!
Photos from the Museum at Le Mans. This was the 16th overall winner for Porsche and celebrated the 50th anniversary of Porsche. Clearly these Headlamps will always be a special example of Porsche design.

funny, to me it just looks like the panamera got rear ended compaired to the 4 door 911, and yet the 911 is so much prettier.
The shape of the panamera probably has something to do with rear seat headroom.
Really cool pics OP, nice to see!
Loving those headlights indeed! A few RL fellas here and I took them to a whole new level. Supercar front-ends (without yellow/burn reflectors!)
Love love and more love
hi all,
great pix.
i'm actually fine w/ the shape of my 996 headlights.
however, i do not have the litronics and would like to upgrade - w/o going out and spending $2k.
has anyone done inexpensive but effective headlights upgrades?
Thx.
Patrick

I'm going to offend a lot of people here, so let it be, but any car out there looks better than the Panamera. Even the old DDR produced cars such as Wartburg 353 and Trabant 601 in diarrhea brown/green beats the looks of the Panamera by far...
IMO the Panamera is the most horrible and hideous looking car ever produced and should be banned from all roads... Seriously, what genius came up with this awful design? The 989 concept car looks 100 x better so what went wrong?
