Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
Last thig touched is first thing suspected and the IPD plenum is suspect #1 in my opinion.
Leading evidence: '#1 in my opinion' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is '#1 in my opinion' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check code if the cel comes back' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I purchased a durametric last night so I can check the code if the CEL comes back.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The CEL popped up on my car yesterday when I was sitting in traffic on a hill. The car is running fine, no rough idle, no loss of power. I did install an IPD plenum a month ago. But I have put a few hundred miles on it since than. I cleared the code but I haven't had it out since. I purchased a durametric last night so I can check the code if the CEL comes back. Would sitting on the hill tripped anything?
It would have helped if you had noted and reported the error codes. To everyone, if you're going to bother to read the codes/clear them, at least write them down (do not trust your memory -- transpose one digit with another and the error can be the difference between a new MAF and a new engine... well, maybe. But you get the idea. No mistakes in writing down the error codes!)
Anyhow, unlikely sitting on the hill had anything to do with the CEL. Last thig touched is first thing suspected and the IPD plenum is suspect #1 in my opinion.
But there is another possibility...While the DME is not supposed to log any misfires when the fuel tank level is low, if sitting on the hill (a steep SF type hill) if this resulted in a momentary lack of sufficient fuel flow/pressure misfires might have been logged.
All you can do is continue to drive the car and next time -- if there is a next time (and if I'm right there will be a next time) -- capture the error codes.
In the meantime, if the engine exhibits any other symptoms, rough idling, noises, anything out of the ordinary, shut off the engine ASAP and get the car to a qualified pro for proper evaluation and repair.
Sincerely,
Macster.
