Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Car has an oil fed IMS and you can see a drip on that feed line which has been replaced once already.
Leading evidence: 'Replace once' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean area real well' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
Removing oil line and replacing #6 AN male fitting might be needed.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Guys,
I found a small puddle of oil under my car after sitting for 1 week in the garage. Took it for a ride and it ran fine. Oil level is OK. I took a short video and attached pics here in case anyone can advise on what/where the leak is coming from. Just had a recent oil change and a long 400 mile ride. Car has an oil fed IMS and you can see a drip on that feed line which has been replaced once already.
Appreciate your inputs.
Okay, Ill hazard a guess.
Looks like the relieved notch in the engine case for the direct feed oil line is crowding the AN fitting. Those fittings are aluminum and easily cracked during install.
Removing oil line and replacing #6 AN male fitting might be needed. Also enlarging relieved cut out in block will be needed too.
LN engineering has the male fittings.
Thanks for your feeeback. I took the car to EPE yesteryear and he took a quick look. The oil is coming from up around the cylinder area so I need to take it in for a deeper inspection where they power wash and look for the source. The tech said its OK to drive it but keep an eye on the oil level. Its a German car, they all leak! :-)
Is it even possible to leak a small amount of oil and then it stops? After stopping at the shop he told me he would need to do a power wash and further inspection to determine where the oil was coming from. Then he said just keep an eye on it, they all leak a little.
Ive since had 2-3 spirited drives and guess what? No more drops. Oil level is down 1 notch on dash display. WTH is going on?
What oil fed IMS bearing is installed on the car? If I had to guess, it appears to be a TuneRS bearing.
Personally, I would degrease the entire area, then drive the car and see if you can identify the exact location of the oil leak. If you have access, one idea is to clamp a GoPro camera under the car and then review the footage later.
Nothing really. The level guages r not that accurate and these motors burn some oil so dropping a knotch is normal.
Drive the car more and the leak will be back. Clean the area real well and inspect often.
