Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2003 Porsche carrera cabriolet. only front and rear turn lights work.Side mounted near from wheel turn signal lights don't work on both sides. but all ligjt front and rear flash. And the hazard flasher only flashes the operating lights. I Check bulbs they worked. I had another turn lever mechanism I had purchased previously as the turn signal lever was not going back to neutral after a turn. so I figured, maybe something is messed up in there. shaped that out and lights continue to be an issue. so I get a volt meter out and check the voltage of a work light 11.9v, I check the voltage of the non working light and it showed a pulsing with the others .05v. I checked the flasher thing under the dash and it was simple three pin device and so now I am stumped so that can't be it. I don't know when it broke, I just found out yesterday during the state safety inspection.

POST 3Original post

It seems that you have a bad ground connection to the side light wires. Don't know if each side has its own ground point or whether they share one but probably the latter as both side lights show the same low voltage.

POST 4Original post

US Specification cars don't use the marker lights in front of the front wheels as turn signals. They are marker lights and light up with the headlights.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OMG, you are correct, turning on the lights works, the damm safety inspector gave me BS and drove me crazy thank you, so much!
