The expansion tank has been replaced and shows no signs of leaks, the expansion tank cap shows no signs of leaks.
Leading evidence: 'Replace expansion tank' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check coolant hose above' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I had my water pump replaced a few weeks ago at a very reputable Porsche specialist in my area with Pierburg and low temp thermostat, first thing I noticed the same day I got it back was that the expansion tank level was below minimum line but I assumed they simply had not filled the system all the way.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I posted a week ago about what I thought was a coolant leak, turns out that was just dried grease.

I inspected every single portion of the coolant system, turns out the coolant is actually leaking. It is a slow leak and I have therefore still been driving the car while keeping an eye on it. It has been hard to identify when or from where it is leaking but I finally captured it, it seems one of the bottom two hex bolts on the waterpump itself are the source of the leak. I took some 4k video footage and many photos to see what all the pros here think. The thermostat and none of the hoses show any signs of leak. The expansion tank has been replaced and shows no signs of leaks, the expansion tank cap shows no signs of leaks.
Also, what is the approach with the garage that did the waterpump? If the waterpump is the culprit should I paying for service? Should the hex bolts be torqued further?
I can't quite tell if the pump itself is leaking and it is running down to the bottom bolt and dripping from there or if the gasket/bolt is leaking near the bottom.
I would love to hear any thoughts on this. Thanks and greetings.

Just take it back to the shop, they will figure out if it's a defective part ( they will hope so) or if it is something they did wrong. Either way, they will not charge you anything to fix it ( or shouldn't)..
Edit: I should clarify, the above statement is provided that THEY supplied the part, if YOU supplied the part, then that could get complicated/arguable..
check the coolant hose above that is connected w/ a plastic connector. i replaced mine w/ a barbed brass connector after it broke.
also check where the hose connects down - circled on pic.
For anybody reading this in the distant future, the leak self stabilized apparently it was from some sort of internal vent or weephole. The mechanic said hes seen it before with pierburg where there is a short break in period where they leak.
You hope there is a break in period.... If it stops, then that is good. I personally have never seen a break-in period with the weep hole. For me, if the weep hole starts leaking right after the replacement, it always gets worse not better.
I have seen brand new water pumps weep and then stop. One was in a brand new car. Dealer said the same thing as above comment from OP mechanic. That water pump ran 100k trouble free mikes until I did the timing belt and replaced it.
