Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Looked through schematics and parts company. Will go to dealer tomorrow.

Could just give them a buzz too - either way dealer should have it. If you find the part number I'd bet FCP euro would have it.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I’ve been talking to them and they are trying to find it. Not in any of their schematics.

POST 8Original post

Dcauto.com - they have some great diagrams of parts for the 996.

The input shaft seal? Illustration 302-06 in the part catalog, part# 996-302-131-00 "Shaft Sealing Ring 28 x 40 x 8".

This is not part. Bearing for input shaft is G99630280701. The bearing I have is fine. I was trying to get info on the (oil shield or dust shield. Auto Atlanta ordered the bearing for me but it didnt have shield included. I spoke with a Porsche shop and was told if it doesnt come with the bearing its no longer needed.
