The reason they use those washers is to keep the top of the shock from coming out of the mount if the rubber completely fails.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
I recently bought a 2000 Porsche 911 C2 with K-Sport coilovers. I'm replacing them with the Koni sport and Eibach kit from Tire Rack. In doing this, I've discovered I need to buy some strut washers (FCP link below)that cost $48 a piece and I need four of them for the front struts. I'm wondering if anyone has some of these laying around so that I could get some measurements or they want to sell? $200 for 4 washers is insane. I'm planning to order something similar from McMaster for likely less than $20. I'm guessing that someone will say that I need these exact washers for some reason. If so, please say why. Thank you!!

The reason they use those washers is to keep the top of the shock from coming out of the mount if the rubber completely fails. So you absolutely could use a different washer there. You just may lose that safety feature. The curvature also may provide support around the edge of the mount also.
I had the same sticker shock when I did my M030 ROW suspension. I went with these $10.00 kits from Summit with no issues.
