Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I installed a set of FEAL coilovers for my C4S last week and now the car is running very strangely.
Leading evidence: 'Install set of feal coilovers' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check harness' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I would double check the harness on all 4 corners.

I will begin swapping around the speed sensors to see if it changes the fault codes locations.

I did a quick front alignment since I was replacing front tie rods also.

If not then it will be to change the wheel bearings.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Okay, I need some HELP!
I installed a set of FEAL coilovers for my C4S last week and now the car is running very strangely. I have yet to get the wheel alignment done as I wanted to fix this issue first. The FEAL coilovers have lowered the car by about 1 inch all round. I also changed old brake pads, All bolts back where they should be and retightened. Hydraulic fluid was flushed with a power bleeder to all 4 calipers.
I took the car for a quick drive around the block to get the suspension settled and to see if height adjustments needed. During the test drive I noticed the following:
a. Steering was off centre- I am assuming the wheel alignment will take care of this.
a. Gear shifts were terrible. I seem to find it very hard to upshift from 2nd to 3rd. At about faster speeds close to 40km/h my ABS/ warning light comes on. Other usual dash comments are failure of the stability management.
I connected my Foxwell code reader and pulled the following codes:
a. 4201 - implausible speed sensor to front right
b. 4216- implausible speed sensor to rear left
c. 5500- wheel speed monitoring fault
So I have now narrowed it down to bad speed sensors or too much wheel bearing play. I will begin swapping around the speed sensors to see if it changes the fault codes locations. If not then it will be to change the wheel bearings.
Has anyone else had these types of issues following the install of coilovers? I am just not a believer of coincidence. Could the installation of coilovers upset the speed sensor system?
Any help is much appreciated.
thanks,
tuan
This,
Also after my coilover install my steering was off also. I did a quick front alignment since I was replacing front tie rods also. Was plenty good enough to get to the alignment shop. Everything is wonky after a coilover install. Just FYI, I lowered to GT2 height and did a GT2 alignment, guy at alignment shop thought it was perfect. Car drives great. My .02
Thanks for the input guys. Once car was on the ground and rolling all error messages went away. Car is going for an alignment next week and I'm really happy with the FEAL coilovers. Highly recommended.
