I want to change over to wheel studs on my 2000 C2 that will see hpde application. How do you determine/choose length?

The short ones from terett, msi and rennline basically mimic a stock lug bolt. If u run spacers u need longer. I have the mid length msi studs, with an 8mm front spacer and i like the longer studs in the back for my sport techno rims. Its easier to get the nut started because the stud isnt as deep in the rim.

I believe 45mm is stock, but you can't run spacers. Some guys run a little longer just in case. The rims usually hide the extra length if your not running the spacers M

Same size I run for 7mm spacers. Going to 15mm spacers which means I will have to go with longer studs.
