Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check error codes' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check error codes' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I tracked down a broken vacuum line and repaired that but the car still ran ruff when restarted.

Car is an 03 Targa with 75,000 miles that I did a Solution on four years ago along with a water pump and various other Maintenance items, had the sump off and the engine was very clean inside and I have a lot of records with the car as I bought off of an 82 year old man that took good care of things.

So I was out driving the car and had been in a slow construction zone for a 4-5 miles and was coming up to a stop at about 30 mph and slipped the car out of gear to coast up to the stop and the engine diedI rolled to the stop sign and restarted the car which was suddenly running very ruff.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I was out driving the car and had been in a slow construction zone for a 4-5 miles and was coming up to a stop at about 30 mph and slipped the car out of gear to coast up to the stop and the engine diedI rolled to the stop sign and restarted the car which was suddenly running very ruff. Trailers the car home and checked error codes. I had a 491 which I had for a while and misfire codes on all six cylinders. I tracked down a broken vacuum line and repaired that but the car still ran ruff when restarted. When ran for 4-5 minutes sitting in the shop there was a noticeable lack of heat on the bank 1-3 tailpipe. Car is an 03 Targa with 75,000 miles that I did a Solution on four years ago along with a water pump and various other Maintenance items, had the sump off and the engine was very clean inside and I have a lot of records with the car as I bought off of an 82 year old man that took good care of things. Car shows no revs in zone 2 and its average speed when I bought it was 27mph. I have ordered new coils and plugs for the car as the records I have show that when the 60,000 mile service was done the plugs were not replaced and remains noted on following receipts. AOS was changed by Porsche dealer at 62,000. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated as I wait for the coils and plugs to show up. I placed my durametric on the car today and got the following readings;
camshaft position 1 deviation -4.06
camshaft position 2 deviation 3.83
rough running cyl. 1 3.3
. . . 6 -15.8
. . . 2 3.7
. . . 4. 2.8
. . . 3. 29.7
. . . 5. -20.1
actual angle for inlet cam bank1 .30
. . . . . . 2 -5.13
only fault codes were misfires on all 6 cylinders, I then erased everything and restarted the engine and ran it 1000-3000rpm for about 3-4 minutes, it showed fault codes, misfires on 1, 3, 2 and 4. Cam showed;
camshaft position 1 deviation -3.64
camshaft position 2 deviation 3.05
I can tell you the cam deviation is out of spec. That might not be the exact reason you have codes, but you will want to address that sooner than later.
A difference of 6* beteeen banks is also an issue. The positive cam reading is suspect and i would be looking at the timing on that bank. Maybe a slipped timing gear?
I would not be worried about those cam deviations. I would just monitor and record their values every six months to a year. You need to figure out if there is a trend. I would say they are better than most out there.
This is an 03 car which would make it a three chain. What would cause the cam deviation being so high? I thought that the cam deviation was caused mainly by chain guide wear.
